Is a Union for the University?

Isaunionforu.com is a website dedicated to the question of whether collective bargaining for UW faculty and academic staff would be a benefit – to UW staff, to the University, and to the State of Wisconsin.

For more than 25 years, legislation was introduced in the Wisconsin State Legislature which would have granted the faculty and academic staff the right to collectively bargain. This right became law in Wisconsin in July 2009.

Since collective bargaining became available to UW Academic Staff, this site has been dedicated to providing insights into the history of the law and current collective bargaining activities on UW campuses.
